Nativity 2001

On the 4th of November, 1989 my son was born. When I came to the maternity hospital where Phillip was born, I saw a really striking concrete fence. On that fence, for many years the newly-made fathers had been writing sincere and tender words addressed to the newly-made mothers. Per se, they created an endless, multi-layer pictorial canvas. That was a strange and beautiful story.

In 2000, the Christian world opened its new millennium and I thought that fragments of this graffito was very apt to illustrate the hopes with which we enter next year, century, millennium.

This photo series was my first personal exhibition. It took place in the Marble hall of the Borey gallery in 2001.
